"I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning."

Psalm 59:16

Can you sing? When we are asked this question, someone usually wonders about the quality of our voice.

Have you ever noticed that the Psalmist does not ask whether we can sing or not but calls us to sing? David lifted his voice to God and assumed that God's people would likewise worship the Lord in song. Scripture exhorts us to sing and commands us to. Worship was individually done and together. We see worship in heaven and on earth.

It is to be a part of our natural routine and a way that we lift our lives to God. Beloved, sing your song to the Lord today. Praise Him, worship Him, and thank Him with the song of your heart. The Lord loves to hear your song and it is good for us to encourage ourselves in Him this way.

In Christ Alone,

Pastor Wight
