“My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?”

  Psalm 42:2

Beloved, we set our calendars for appointments and events. Waiting for the day to arrive so that we might receive an answer to our alignment while hoping for relief.  There are times when the day will not come fast enough because of discomfort; sadly, appointments are fulfilled but with no answer and no relief.

There is no need to wait to come before our Lord. He is always present, willing and able to satisfy the weary believer. The Spirit of God provides life-giving water that refreshes the soul, even when the body is ill, and the mind is fatigued.

We approach the God of all comfort, who consoles us in every distress. Are you spiritually thirsty or weary? Come to the throne of grace. Entrust your burdens to Him who first loved you. The Good Shepherd, who gave His life for you, has called you by name and prepared a place for you at the Father’s table.

Take your place and receive all that the Father has prepared for you. Your soul will be satisfied; there is no reason to delay—come to Him today.

In Christ Alone.

Pastor Wight
