“Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayers have been heard.”

   Luke 1:13

The sweetest assurance we can have is knowing that our prayers have been heard. Beloved, do you have this assurance? This confidence is in Christ.

We do not need an angel to appear unto us that we might have such peace. Instead, Jesus told the disciples before His ascension that the Holy Spirit would come. This promise was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost. From that moment forward, every believer has been born of the Spirit in regeneration. Therefore, we are no longer in this world without God or hope.

As a result, we have been reconciled unto God in Christ and, by the Spirit, cry Father. Do not be afraid, for the Holy Spirit bears witness that we are the children of God, and He helps us to pray. Your prayers have been heard; therefore, do not cease to pray while you bring yourself to the throne of grace in Christ.

In Christ Alone.
