‘Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish.”
Jonah 2:1
Beloved, let the people of God remain confident in the Lord’s ability to hear them, assured that nothing in all creation, whether natural or supernatural, can separate their pleas from the heart of the Father.
Because of Jonah’s disobedience, he found himself in the belly of a great fish beneath the waves. Yet even there, mercy was present and gave birth to renewed faith. Where are you today—in the depths of your own trials? Are you overwhelmed by self-will or hardness of heart? God can hear our cries from the depths of despair. His hand can reach across the chasm of our doubts. Has He not sought the lost lamb wandering in the wilderness? The Spirit continues to bring prodigals to their senses, even in distant places far from home.
God hears you today. Your cry for mercy may be on behalf of another weary soul, or it may arise from your own heart. The Lord hears every plea and gathers every tear. Wherever you are and whatever you are going through, lift your voice to God, for He will hear you.
In Christ Alone.
