Seasons of Life | Nov. 26th

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”

   Ecclesiastes 3:1

Beloved, we are susceptible to the ever-changing seasons of life. No one is exempt from birth or death. Everything between these two epochs is life. Thankfully, we are not left to fate but have the promise of God’s providence at work. He is with us in each moment.

In the midst of God’s providential care, we should humble ourselves before Him by acknowledging that He is Lord of our lives. It is our duty to seek the Lord, to know Him and His ways through the word of God. Only through scripture will we have a clear understanding of the Lord and what is required of us. It is by the grace of God that we are invited to have fellowship with Him, and this same grace enables us to do so.

As the seasons of life come and go, let us ask God in prayer for His wisdom and the grace to accept the changes that come. Sometimes wisdom comes from instruction and/or experience. The simple task of making a bed can be learned by a child through instruction and by doing. Life becomes more complicated, but these same principles remain. Instruction and doing. We need the grace of the Lord and the peace He provides as we trust Him for each day. There is an allotted time for every matter we face. The Lord is willing to guide us as we look to Him.

In Christ Alone.
