Seen by God | July 23rd

“When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd.”

  Mark 6:14

Beloved, the eyes and heart of our Lord remain unchanged. When He observes us and the vast multitude of humanity, He continues to be filled with compassion. The mercy of God is still on display with the passing of each day. We wander as lost sheep, and He, the Great Shepherd, seeks us when we are lost in the wilderness.

This Shepherd laid down His life for His own and has called us by name. If you are wondering how the Lord regards you, what feelings He holds toward you, and what His thoughts are concerning you, they are summed up in this singular verse.

Christ sees you and has compassion on you. May we respond to such amazing grace and to the One who first loved us. In this, you find peace and joy.

In Christ Alone.
