 “Speaking the truth in love.”

  Ephesians 4:15

Beloved, carrying out this exhortation is difficult. Speaking the truth with love is something the Holy Spirit must enable us to do in genuineness and impartiality.

We must not sacrifice truth for love, nor love for truth. When sharing truth or addressing falsehood, we should avoid bluntness or harshness. It is possible to communicate truth in a redemptive manner, even when it is difficult to accept.

Love is inseparable from truth. We are called to love others as God loves us, while steadfastly upholding truth. Compassion motivates us to speak truth in ways that honor God and promote the well-being of others. Genuine conviction for truth is best guided and expressed through love. Let us pray that the Holy Spirit empowers us to strengthen others this week through loving application of God’s word.

In Christ Alone.
